Description
.
The SmartGen HGM7120N is a sophisticated AMF (Auto Mains Failure) controller designed to manage single-unit generator sets in systems that require automatic switching between mains and generator power. It integrates digital control, real-time monitoring, and fault protection, making it ideal for reliable genset automation. Equipped with a 32-bit processor, the controller delivers precise measurement of key parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, and kW/amps. The 132 × 64 backlit LCD screen and multilingual interface (English, Chinese, and others) make it easy to configure and monitor operations. The silicone keypad and durable front panel are built to withstand tough environmental conditions.
In terms of connectivity, the HGM7120N supports RS‑485, USB, and Ethernet for remote monitoring, configuration, and data logging. It includes 7 digital inputs, 5 analog inputs for sensors (such as oil pressure, temperature, and fuel level), and 8 relay outputs for functions like start, stop, ATS, pre‑heat, and idle. The controller also offers scheduled start/stop, maintenance reminders, and event logging via a real‑time clock. The unit runs from a wide DC supply (8–35 V), ensuring compatibility with common generator battery systems. Configuration settings are stored in non-volatile memory, so they are not lost during power outages. With an operating temperature range from –25 °C to +70 °C, the HGM7120N is robust enough for demanding generator environments.
